In the beginning, all things are hopeful. We prepare ourselves to start anew. Though we may be intent on the magnificent journey ahead, all things are contained in this first moment; our optimism, our faith, our resolution, our innocence.

Every year I use this Tao quote to start off my year, because it is so full of hope….and I always use this beautiful picture of my favorite wind chimes in the winter.
I can honestly say that I am not sad to wave good bye to 2019. It was a difficult one on so many levels, not only for myself, but for others I know as well.
We are not only moving into a new year, but a new decade and like the quote above says "all things are contained in this first moment; our optimism", which I hope never to lose. This year I have decided that there will be NO word….well, let me rephrase this…..
From this point forward there will only be one word, because I love it so.
"Sparkle".
No more trying to fit myself into a space of "a" word.
This year I have some goals to achieve, some I will share, some I will guard close to my heart. One of the biggest ones for me personally is becoming more organized and that means cleaning out the corners of my house, my shop and the cobwebs in my brain..ha!
No one knows what this New Year and New Decade will bring, but I will approach it with optimism!
As we start this new year, remember to give those you love a hug to remind them how much you love them.

Sparkle is wonderful, some words just stay with us and some don’t work well. I still think a lot about joy and how much I learned the year I chose that for my word. Happy New Year, my dear friend!
