Every year I use this Tao quote to start off my year, because it is so full of hope….and I always use this beautiful picture of my favorite wind chimes in the winter.

I am looking forward to 2019 and a fresh start to a new year, that moment of embarking. I feel that 2019 is going to be a year that brings some changes into our lives. Maybe new adventures perhaps. I don't know what, but I feel the subtle winds of change.

I wasn't going to choose a word this year but it seemed to find me when I wasn't looking. Every time I turned around over the last 2 months, there it was winking at me, challenging me, so I decided to bite the bullet and do it again.

My word for 2019 is
JOY

Looking for joy instead of defeat or frustration. Looking for joy when feeling sad or overwhelmed because I know personally on the other side of sadness you usually find joy, so this year I am going to look for joy in the quiet moments of our lives.

As we start this new year, remember to give those you love a hug to remind them how much you love them.
