In the beginning, all things are hopeful. We prepare ourselves to start anew. Though we may be intent on the magnificent journey ahead, all things are contained in this first moment; our optimism, our faith, our resolution, our innocence.

Almost every year I use this Tao quote to start off my year, because it is so full of hope….and I always use this beautiful picture of my favorite wind chimes in the winter.
I am looking forward to 2018 and a fresh start to a new year. with all of it's promise. I have chosen my new word that I will share with you this week. This new word will have me visiting with you more often, so I look forward to visiting with you again on a regular basis.
As we start this new year, remember to give those you love a hug to remind them how much you love them.

Just wanted to let you know that I bought Deng-Ming Dao’s book “365 Tao: Daily Meditations” probably four years ago because of reading about it and excerpts from it here on your blog. I read all through it each year, day by day, and it has given me a lot of insight and balance in my life.
