As you know, I dye to order as opposed to doing shop updates, so when I have a large volume of orders come in, I really work hard to turn them around in a reasonable time, which means long hours in the shop,.
(usually 10-14 days during a large volume sale).
I got up early this morning, went for a walk and then finished up the last bit of shipping that needed to go out. It was such a glorious day, so I took the afternoon off to spend some time at the ocean.
The beachfront was not that crowded and the water was unusually warm for a Maine beach and this tired body and mind welcomed some free hours to get lost in a book on this very temperate day. Not too hot, not too cold..not too humid but just right.
Hmm..I sound a bit like Goldilocks…LOL
It's been a while since I have spent some time alone at the ocean and today I realized that the ocean will be my home one day. Listening to the mellow Lumineers channel on Pandora while reading my book and just sucking in all of the ocean energy I felt at peace as I walked along the beach
Sometimes when we are alone we can appreciate the quiet energy that we might miss when we are with a group of friends. Today I am happy to have been there at just the right moment.
