Perspective………

Only the mind turned inward will find a still-point of peace.

Well I am in the thick of getting ready for Fryeburg Fair.  It's not as crazy as in past years because I am only doing the weekend, but the few days before a show are always busy ones….and sometimes when you are trying to do 10 things at a time, something usually happens and not always good.

You see that sweet adorable bunny that I got from Julie of Little Cotton Rabbits?  Do you see that shoe?  Yep, a tub of powdered dye fell and voila…that pair of shoes is now a pair of slippers…boo.

Shortly after all of this happened however I received such an uplifting phone call from Ashley that quickly brought me back to my center and helped me find pespective again….thanks Ash…I needed that. 🙂
It's going to be a fun weekend!

  1. Oh, I feel bad for you and your clogs. I have a pair of Haflingers and they are great shoes and not inexpensive. Good luck with your show this weekend.

  2. Hafs or Stegs – they don’t look THAT bad. Not in the picture, anyway….. I just saw an item in the Cuddledown catalogue, UGG rubber-soled slippers with fur, of course, and a cable knitted upper!Expensive, but going on my Christmas wish list!

  3. Bummer about the clogs- I don’t suppose that you could dip dye both of them. At least it wasn’t the boots. Cute bunny and glad Ashley was there pick your spirits up.

  4. I wanted to say that the dye would come out in time, but on wool? Maybe not. I once accidently spray painted my carpet thinking it would be safe because such a large area was covered. That actually did wear off. Have a great time at the Fair. I’m off to Colorado Knitting Camp, so let’s all have a fun and fibery time!

  5. Just when life knocks us over something, or someone, comes along to lift us up and help us along. How nice your daughter is that person!! Enjoy the Fair!

  6. Time to paint your clogs! Actually, I know it must have been an ugly moment. I am sorry. I am clinging to my well-worn leather clogs despite how ratty they look (even after polishing) because it is just too hard to find shoes that fit these days. And, maybe you can paint them? Have a good weekend at the fair.
