Happy Mother’s Day!!

Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.

Normally Mother's Day weekend goes like this….
Saturday is spent all day long at the NH Sheep and Wool festival with Ken, visiting with people who I love.  Sunday I run out to the garden center to get something pretty for my Mother's amazing garden and then as many of us who are home go to visit with she and my Dad.

This year was a bit different however.  Hannah has really decided that she loves track and field over the last few years, so we have been supporting her by attending most of her track meets.  As a result, this Saturday we chose to go to her meet instead of the festival and had planned to sneak away for a few hours on Sunday to attend the 2nd day of the festival……that was until my son, who I haven't seen since Christmas told me he was coming up on Sunday.  No brainer…we would stay home and host a party. 🙂

So this year…..Saturday…..

…for me the best part of Mother's Day is sharing it with my children and my own Mum.  As the years go by I cherish each and every Mother's Day because I know it will be harder and harder for us all to be together as the kids grow in different directions.
This year was extra special as  4 of my 5 children were home for the afternoon, along with my grandchildren and my parents…..and I will see Ashley later in the week as well.
I am so blessed to have 5 amazing kids and a VERY amazing mother. 🙂

Happy Mother's Day in your corner of the world!!

  1. Happy mama’s day! Pales in comparison to a fiber festival, which, as Carole points out, is always there. Or at least somewhere. 🙂
