Rainy Days……………..

Beachglass on step
Not much has been happening around here the last few days.  It seems as though the rain is never going to end.  Pitter, Patter, drip, drop on the rooftops……

Not great for the garden but certainly a good excuse to spend time knitting….right?

Beachglass on bush I have spent the last week working on Susan's beeutiful Beach Glass Shawl pattern.  It really is a joy to knit.  Just enough lace work to keep it interesting, but lots of mindless garter rows in between.  My favorite kind of knit. 🙂

I am loving this yarn too.  It has lovely drape and a very soft hand. I am waiting to see how it blocks before I put it up in the store.

I am nearing the end so hopefully when the sun decides to make an appearance I will have something lovely to show you. 🙂

  1. That is looking lovely.
Aw, the rain is good for the garden! We had three weeks without it in May, with perfect weather. No one ever likes the weather.

  2. I love bottom-up shawls – long rows at the start when your enthusiasm for a new project is running high, shorter rows when you’re ready to be done!
    That’s a very pretty one.
And I could do with a little sunshine right about now…

  3. Just finished reading about this pattern over at Smatterings! Just as lovely here. 🙂
As for the weather – well. I am usually with Laurie about rain and gardens. But 3 weeks of rain every single day is wearing on me. We’ve now had a bit over 24 hours without a single drop. Maybe I can finally get a riding lesson in!

  4. Do you mind me digressing for a moment? Did your husband build those boxes for your garden and then sink the legs into holes in the ground for support? I was totally energized by your garden, which will soon be overflowing with healthy eats.
Just asking while hoping to energize my husband into a fall garden project.
    Thanks….
