2 pictures of me in less than a month…what's up with that? Sheesh…you know I hate having my picture up there….
Well, this picture is worth a thousand words!! Can you see what I am wearing? Yes, that is Oh Canada!! No, it is not the one that was stolen, but one that Karolyn, known as Joyfulpurls on Ravelry made for me with yarn bought and donated by Lorraine….and pattern proveded by Anne .
Included with the shawl was this little note:
Then there was an evil, an ogre who admired her things so much that she felt it was ok to help herself to the wares. Such behavior was shocking and left the good members of the fibery community at a loss for words.
In the Kingdom of Ravelry, this raised an uproar amongst the members and a plan was put into place to 'right' this evil.
So although your original shawl is still in the hands of the ogre, we hope this replacement created especially for you will restore your faith in the fiber community.
THE END
To say that I am completely and totally blown away would be an understatement. I am so incredibly touched by this not so random act of kindness!
Fiber people truly are T.H.E best! I have a couple of other not so random acts of kindness that I want to share with you soon, but I will save that for another day. 🙂
Thank you Girls from the bottom of my heart!!!
Kim- A picture is worth a thousand words, and the great thing is I got to meet Karolyn, and Anne Hanson was of course, her usual wonderful self.
It was an absolute pleasure.

Oh Kim, I am SO VERY happy that this has happened and that you are always so right about karma. In the hours when you were ROBBED, your composure and calm and faith were every bit as evident as your injury. People who love you learn a great deal from you with every encounter. BRAVO to the friends who replaced bad karma with good an d a wonderful shawl with a magnificent shawl.
Love you.

I also can hardly believe that it took her only three days to knit that beautiful shawl. Karolyn has many gifts.

Wow. That is so nice. And it is beautiful.
There is more than one ogre out there. My LYSO tells me she routinely has store samples disappear – people just help themselves.
