Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed
that with the sun's love
in the spring
becomes the rose…..
Today's flower is the rose, which I have grown to love and the prose is from "The Rose" which holds a tender place in my heart.
I will leave you with a sweet little picture of my babies that I snapped last night and will share their story with you next week…….
Have a wonderful weekend in your corner of the world!
A lovely, lovely rose!!
Look at your babies…they are big now…and with feathers!!!

Thank you for sharing those beautiful images. It must be so fun to watch those baby birds grow and change!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, with some time to relax. We’ll be at a soccer tournament all weekend, so I’ll be taking on the role of the mother who knits at the games.

A perfect rose! Pretty! I love the song, as well. Hi birdies! Kim, please tell me what you set your camera on to achieve the effect of the blurred background and the sharp image in the front. I was able to do that once with my camera for a flower shot, and then I couldn’t make it do it again! Grrr. Do you remember what you had the camera set on? Thanks!

See, spring/summer really did come to your little corner of the world. I have almost rejoined the land of the living…being away from home for three weeks results in a big mess that has taken days to deal with…oh well. Hot and humid here, hopefully nice there…Enjoy!
