Winter in the North Country can be brutal at times, but how can you not love it when you have a day like this? Our mountain may not be the biggest but it truly is one of the prettiest.

The last few days have been glorious! The sun, which has been a rare sight this winter was shining brightly and thankfully melting some of this snow. The weather was almost pleasantly mild, you could say.
Look at the snow on that mountain! Do you not just love it?

As much as I love looking at the snow on the mountain, I am not quite so fond of the mountain that is growing by my back door….right now it is about 9 feet tall, I kid you not….YIKES!
Oh….and just in case you think I am stalling with Oh!Canada pictures….well, I admit it….I am. 🙂
The stole is so pretty that I want to do it justice in the final block, so as I head off to Patternworks with Jean tomorrow, lace blocking wires are on my list.
Have a great weekend!!

Your mountain is gorgeous, of course. And your snow pile, well you can keep that. I’m so jealous of your trip to Patternworks! Have a blast!

I love looking at the snow, the mountains, the sea. Many people think we’re crazy, family, friends. We, however, know the real secret! You should try some of Mary Oliver’s poems. You would love them, I’m telling you!

Your sky is beautiful and you pile of snow is a little higher than my pile of snow. It’s been quite the winter every where! Have a fabulous time with Jean!

Hey! I’m coming to your mountain (and the surrounding area) the weekend after SPA. I hope it stays good and cold so I have decent snow to x-country ski on!
I’m tempted to jump in my car and head up to Patternworks right now! Have a great shopping trip. Do you have time for this? I expect to see a lot of dyed yarns next weekend! 😉

I agree….you can just keep that pile of snow! But, don’t our New England mountains have their own, gentle and softer kind of beauty? Great shots!

I admit it–the snow mountain behind my house is a little smaller than yours. But the real mountain close to me is HUGE!
