Fraternal Twins

Byt_socks_finished

Sheesh…..it is really hard to get a picture of socks on your own feet early in the morning when the dew is still heavy on the grass.Byt_side_lace

I have to say that I have had more fun knitting these socks than any other sock I have knit to date.  I can not believe Byt_top_lace
that I waited so long to knit a pair of handspun socks!

I know I have said this before….but I love Cassie’s pattern.  The lace rib at the top is ultra feminine and the lace panel that goes down each side is just enough lace to keep you interested.  The 10 rows of lace really help to make the pattern go quick….I’ll just do 2 patterns…um…maybe one more….and before you know it you are done.

We are heading down to NH Sheep and Wool festival bright and early tomorrow morning…..I’m looking forward to seeing friends and buying fiber :-).  Yep….this is one of those fairs that I am a happy spender instead of a vendor.  I hope to see you there!

Before I sign off today, I will leave you with a few pictures of Miss Cleo.  As she was lounging on her usual couch corner last night, she reminded me of a famous Landseer painting.  It’s hard to believe she is going to be a year old next week.  She and Maggie will have a joint birthday party 🙂

  1. Have a great time at the fiber festival! Having never been to one before until just recently (I know, the horror), I’m afraid I may be on the verge of becoming a fiber fair/festival addict. Watch out.
    Miss Cleo is gorgeous.

Love, love, love the socks. Your yarn really looks great in the knitting! Have fun tomorrow and give everyone a hug from Utah!!

  3. Yay! Handspun AND handknit – they are fantastic.
Digger’s birthday is today. We celebrated with a ride (more for me than him) and an apple (more for him than me). 🙂

  4. It was wonderful seeing you! What did you end up buying after all was done? Wasn’t the weather exceptional? I kept remembering last year’s deluge.

  5. Kim, the socks look fabulous (sorry I didn’t get to see your post for two days, as you know I was on the road!). Do you know I still haven’t knit socks from handspun? gotta work on that, for sure.
