Wish Upon A Star……Oct. 30, 2006

Pup_4

Meet the newest member of our family!   This little girl was the reason for my trip to Texas.    She is 5 months old and from some very nice champion lines in this country as well as in the UK.  I am very Maggiethelapdog
excited to have her here with us!  I am going to need a little of your help, however  Her registered name is Benchmark Wish Upon A Star, but she needs her everyday name.  I have thought about Cricket (of the Jiminy variety), but I’m not quite sure that it suits her yet, so I am open to suggestions 🙂  Is she not cute??

Of course, she and Maggie are only a month apart in age and Maggie’s not completely sure she shouldn’t be the resident lap dog yet….LOL!

And A Little Knitting

Red_maple_lace_shawl Even though most of the weekend was very busy as we attended a fun match just outside of Dallas, I did manage to squeeze in a little knitting.  Most of it was on the plane ride to and from Texas.  Looks a bit different than when I left, eh?

As I was working on the other colorway, I realized it was very similar to another lace shawl that I had made last year, so I pulled it all out and restarted with something else.  Can you tell I like this color…haha?

Anyhoo, even though I had a very nice time this weekend and the weather was glorious, I am glad to be home.  The trip into Manchester, NH was incredibly scary last night……the plane was bouncing all over the place, like a bad sci~fi movie, and we were all amply frightened out of our wits by the time it landed….  It was good to put my feet on the ground again and sleep in my own bed 🙂

  1. I love visiting here, pups/fibre, what more can a girl ask for! I thought the same as Laura at first, Twinkle, but then I got playing on words and thought Stella as in stellar (you know…stars and that?) Too much thinking for now, I think I need chocolate 😉

  3. She is a real beauty! But best of all, she is a Texan and should have a decent Texas moniker. We recently lost a grand Texas dame, Ann Richards, to cancer. How about Annie in honor of a great Texas Governor? I just know I am going to end up getting a puppy if I don’t stop reading your blog.

  5. That little face is sooo precious. Standing by to see what name you come up with. So many good ones out there… tho whatever means “wish granted” in whatever language could be fun.
