I was so proud of myself for remembering to bring my camera to the Gathering only to be quickly disappointed with a very dead lithium battery. Somehow I managed to accidentally turn the camera on in the car, which resulted in that dead battery….Aggh.
So, as I was sitting watching a video of Friday's Ghost Whisperer with Hannah when we got home tonight wondering what the heck I would post about……today's post came to me.

Hannah has been attending fiber events with me since she was just a little girl. Hannah is my youngest child and is by far the shyest of the bunch.
Dealing with people she does not know has always been her biggest challenge. When she was a wee one and someone would talk to her, she would just close her eyes, making them disappear….(poof…they are gone)
Hannah has always enjoyed coming to fiber events with me and my one requirement for bringing her has been that she needs to make eye contact with people and talk to them, which I know is a huge challenge for her. Sometimes she succeeds and sometimes I can just see her shut down. I can always see the mental challenge that is going on for her.
I was so proud of her this weekend. Many times while I was busy chatting with friends or customers, I watched her out of the corner of my eye, taking good care of people needing assistance. Talking to them, helping them find things and only coming to me if she did not know the answer. A very capable assistant indeed!
One of the things we enjoy doing together is watching "Ghost Whisperer" on Friday evenings. Hannah watched it up in our room on Friday evening while I was socializing with friends, so I watched it with her again tonight on the computer when we got home. As we both sat there crying at the very sad episode….I knew today's post would be for Hannah. I am very blessed to have such a compassionate, hard working and kind-hearted child. π
