Wednesday’s Work….

Annebook

I am so fortunate to work alongside some of the most talented and nicest designers, one of which is Anne Podlesak.  As I have mentioned a few times in the past, Anne and I have collaborated on a number of different projects.  Anne is also very generous and always sends me a copy of a pattern or book that I have contributed yarn for, so I was very excited when I received a copy of her newest book, "Free Spirits Knits".

It is a BEAUTIFUL book full of such wonderful and wearable patterns.  Twenty patterns in all and so many of them are ones that I would love to wear.  I was exceptionally excited when I saw this beautiful pattern in the group of pre-book photos that Anne sent to me.

This lovely "Three Sister's shawl" was knit with my Lucent yarn in the Suede and Butterscotch colorways.
When Anne sent me the pictures of all the patterns and I saw this shawl, I fell in love with it before I noticed that she used the yarns that I sent to her for this shawl.  I was over the moon when I saw that the yarns were the ones I sent to her.

I have a few Christmas projects to knit and the never ending sweater that I am sucking up my energy to finish first, but this is going to be my cold winter night knitting project.  I just love it!

Also included in Anne's book is this scrumptious sweater, "Monument Valley Sweater", made with my Sporty Biffle yarn in the Pumpkin Patch and Straw colorways.  I love the texture and color.  Anne knows that my favorite colors are the autumn colorways and this sweater is everything that I love.  Beautiful and very wearable!

As I was paging through this lovely book, I want to tell you that it is of the highest quality.  The paper that it is printed on, the content and the pictures are all very well done and worthy of your knitting book library.

Go take a look, you won't be disappointed.  There are at least 10 items I wish I could knit RIGHT now.

Thank you Anne!

  1. These designs are so inspiring and your yarns are perfect! I am trying to imagine them I some different color ways since autumn looks awful on me.

  2. I ordered that book after you mentioned it before! I’ve got my copy and it’s amazing! It was the shawl that put me on the hunt initially. Beautiful!
