Before I went to bed last night I felt moved to put this song up for a friend.
It is a song that embraced and comforted me when I needed it…………such a beautiful song for a free spirit.

This is beautiful and very appropriate for this week. A young man from our town, the brother of one of my daughter’s friends, died in a boating accident this past weekend. He was to be married in the fall and had a very promising future. It is just a sad time around here.

At first my bleary eyes read that as “Nickel Back”, a band I can’t stand, but at second glance I saw the truth. 🙂 I love Nickel Creek. They are just amazing.

My dad works for Flatpicking Guitar magazine, Chris Thiessen, he’s an editor, and they featured some stuff on N.C. when they first got started. We went a show and met them and they were all really nice. It’s too bad that the band is broken up now.
But this is certainly one of my favorite songs, it makes me cry every time.
