Peacock iridescence in veridical shadows,
Violet blooms spread to noonday sun.
The world’s beauty is a swirl of color,
But in the flower’s center is bright stillness.

As the growing season here in the North Country is not a very long one, I thought that instead of Eye Candy Friday pictures I would do Friday’s Flowers during our growing season.

If any of you would like to join along with me in sharing your garden’s beauty this summer, feel free to snag this button, but please remember to copy it to your desk top.
I’m looking forward to seeing some of your flowers!

Those are beautiful. I have flowers today, too, but I didn’t grow them myself. 🙂

Lovely flowers. I have none to show sorry. We are in the middle of our annual “conserve water because the tables are low”…so no frivolous watering is allowed.

Pansies are one of my favorite flowers — just so happy! I’m always sad to see them pulled up in favor of heat tolerant plants in the Spring. This one is a beautiful color! Gorgeous pictures.

Good idea. I think I’ll join you. Beautiful pansies. The growing season for pansies in our part of the country is fall. Plant them just before Thanksgiving and enjoy them right up until spring.

Good morning,
I love the Shetland Shawl, great progress by the way. I would appreciate knowing who the pattern is by and where I might buy one. Could you please E-mail me the info on it?
The flowers are beautiful too. I bought several packs of pansies for myself on Mother’s Day, but have yet to put them in the ground. Yes, guilt has ensued. Maybe this weekend, if a weekend actually materializes this week…
Thank you for the inspiration!
